This episode starts unwrapping (in part) the past of the scientist Takumi Katsuragi. This episode has some nightmare fuel in the flashback. It's revealed that Takumi himself was involved in using the Nebula Gas experimentation. The show reveals that it's through this gas that the Smash are created. He was arrested before he could use it and later he's found dead. I suspect that he was murdered by the Faust Organization in order to acquire that power. Now I could be getting overly harsh (at times) towards the character Sawa Takigawa. I already expressed my concerns if she would become the new Megumi Asano . In case you haven't seen Kamen Rider Ryuki, Megumi was an added comic relief in the otherwise darker and edgier Ryuki. I hope executives didn't kick her in out of the fear Build may become too serious. Fortunately, while Sawa does seem stupid (and she does show signs of being ditzy A LOT) but she's able to get through the badly needed clues. Wha...

Thanks to  Drama Beans  for providing the images I make for my weekly reviews.  Okay, this is quite quick and I guess a lot of my expectations or not came true. Hong Joo is back to her job as a reporter and she's back to investigating potassium cyanide poisoned cats. Little does she know her life is in danger and that Chicken Oppa is more than she expected.  So what does the villain Yo-BUMMER do? Okay, I'll call Yo-BUM as Yo-BUMMER because of his actions as the villain. He's a pretty slick villain and Chicken Oppa... surprise or not... killed his younger brother. It wasn't a car accident but it was cyanide poisoning. He had to make sure that the person was surely dead while making it look like an accident. Why was the body immediately disposed of? It's obviously done to hide evidence. Yes, Yo-BUMMER is a master of manipulation. I hope the abused house wife and her daughter get their justice and Yo-BUMMER will get what's coming to him sooner or later....

We also discover that there's always you know the future but you can't change it. I want to drag Mirai Sentai Timeranger's phrase, "If you can't change the future then try to fight for your tomorrow." The burden of having that ability to see the future hits those who possess it.  This should be impressive as Hong Joo has an extraordinary intelligence that would make her sound stupid to average people. She discovers something fishy about Chicken Oppa. He was feeding his pet cats though they die for some unknown reason later in this episode. Is it me or is Hong Joo just too feisty at times?  Perhaps my complaints could be related to this one. The episode somewhat stalls the development of the case between Yoo-BUMMER and Jae-Chan. Anger defines Ryoga Banjo doesn't it? All he thinks is proving himself innocent. I think how me and Ryoga can be alike. I would gone as hasty as he did if I were in his place. Meanwhile, I hope that he becomes a Kamen Rider to sell more toys and expand the plot. Right now, he's just a mad guy whose anger defines him. Right now, we don't see much of what Faust can do. I do have a feeling Night Rogue may just be a figurehead to some mysterious force. I'm expecting both Blood Stark and Night Rogue to have some big boss we haven't heard of yet. Maybe, we will get an improved version of the Great Loser ahem Great Leader of the Showa era. I'm just having a hunch right now. They probably have a lot of military facilities around Japan. Right now, we only see one of them and they're operating in many places. It would be very hard to get information from them.   There's really some nightmare fuel in this place. Episodes 7 to 8 gets an interesting chemistry between Hong Joo and Jae Chan. Right now, we've got three people who got the gift to foresee future events since it also includes Woo Tak. This also takes us to an unresolved case with Mr. Park's spousal abuse. Jae Chan seems stupid but he pretends to be it. Sometimes, you have to pretend to be stupid to get the case done huh? In this case, he slowly analyzes Mr. Park's manipulated evidence.  It was an interesting showdown between Jae Chan and Yo BUM. Before that, Yo Bum shows how much of a threatening character he is. Before the show started, Yo BUM already manipulated evidence in favor of Mr. Park. Yo BUM has been receiving bribe money. However, the inconsistencies start to show and maybe, Yo Bum did bribe Mr. Park. There's also some interesting chemistry between Soo Yoon and Seung Won. Previous episodes, we see Seung Won try and prevent Soo Yoon from committing patricide. As of right now, Soo Yon and he...

The power to see the future now spreads. But that's not the only thing this episode focuses. It also shows quite a bit about what people would do even if they didn't have the "Seed of Agito". Some interesting personalities are shown and some people clash from within. Hong Joo and Soo Yoon show their contrasts. Okay, a bit of comedy was good but there's the tragedy there. Everyone was trying to stop the possible frame-up of Seong-Won. We learn exactly who Soo Yoon wants to take the law into her hands. Her father gets so much immunity from an institution that claims to fight for human rights but only ends up protecting the highest bidder. This also reveals some of the crookedness of some lawyers who value money above law. We see a little bit more of Jae Chan's past because of a conversation he had about Soo Yoon's father. He's a delinquent as evidenced by the dyed hair. Now, it's time to see where this gift or curse of foresight may come ...

This week's Kamen Rider Build is somewhat building up some speculations in my head, pun intended. Anyway, here's my thoughts for this episode. I have to admit there's a little less nightmare fuel for now but there's probably going to be a lot more later.  We discover the Cafe Nascita's owner was a former astronaut. Souichi was a member of Faust but I guess there's a price for betrayal. He simply wanted to save his daughter Misora from Faust. He stole that panel so he could create Kamen Rider Build. It's revealed he caused the whole Skywall incident though it's possible his trip to Mars may have unleashed an ancient evil inside the Pandora's Box. It looks like there's going to be an even bigger villain that's running everything behind the scenes. Surprise or not? It turns that Kiryu Sento's real name is Satou Tarou. Okay, that's kind of an early twist in contrast to Kamen Rider Agito's revelation that Shouichi Tsugami ...
