I remembered some time ago when I wrote an entry about how Metal Hero's discontinuation may have something to do with Kamen Rider's revival . You may have observed how the Kamen Rider suits during the Heisei era up to the most recent one are obviously more metallic than the Showa era counterparts. Most of them may resemble Metal Heroes. It's safe to say that Metal Hero is discontinued but never forgotten by Toei as other later series (after Robotack ) still gave tribute to the series. You may notice at how Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive may have the elements of the Rescue Police Trilogy ( Winspector up to Exceedraft ) or how Tokosou Sentai Dekaranger contains elements of the Space Sheriff Trilogy ( Gavan up to Shaider ). The Kamen Rider franchise is no different. In fact, it seems that Kamen Rider is the new Metal Hero and Kamen Rider Kabuto takes place in 2006 - 10 years after B-Fighter Kabuto came to existence as a less successful sequel to B-Fighter . Kamen Rider Kabuto is what I'd call "Patrick Star's one shot wonder" while this arc was actually written by Nobuhiro Mouri. I know I've had issues with the ToQGer vs. Gaim crossover and I would still consider Yasuko Kobayashi's involvement of the Shinkenger arc in Decade and Riku Sanjo's Ninnninger vs. Drive to be the superior crossover. Now, I just felt like Decade redeemed itself and this is way better than the Kabuto arc in Kamen Rider Decade . Yup, Tsusaka Kadoya is back once again in an important role that Dex in Saban's Mashed Rider will NEVER get. Also, a startling revelation is about to be given. What I like about this one is the appearance of several mainstay members of Kabuto. I wanted Souji Tendo but I think the actor Hiro Mizushima must be too busy with his family. I remembered watching Kamen Rider Kabuto AFTER seeing Kamen Rider Decade. What's my reaction? I thought about how Kabuto is said to be Shoji "Patrick Star" Yonemura's one-shot wonder. I saw the whole Kabuto series and found it passable and sadly Yonemura is in the levels of Bruce Kalish and Jonathan Tzachor! But the Kabuto arc wasn't written by Patrick but by Kenji Konuta who isn't a major writer. Maybe I need to cut some slack but I still think Gordon Ramsay would probably still be a mad chef if he saw it and had translations to go along with it! I know I've read through Shogo B'Stard calling Souji Tendou an unlikable prick. There are some of my favorite shows full of them. A lot of Timeranger's characters tend to be jerks like Tatsuya or Yuuri. Kamen Rider Agito has Hojo Toru. I have just finished watching Kamen Rider Kabuto from start to end (the first, I just watched it on a broadcast which sucked), so I thought is this show the one shot wonder of Shoji Yonemura (as the head writer) and Shinichiro Shirakura (as the head producer) of this show. I felt like this show was pretty weird but it was entertaining enough to keep me occupied. The show's plot involves the alien lifeform known as the Worms have landed on Earth, they mimic people and they were brought by a meteor that crashed some time ago. An organization known as ZECT is formed to combat worms while we have the hero, Souji Tendo who believes he walks the path of Heaven. Souji becomes Kamen Rider Kabuto after seven years of training to fight the Worms while there are some twists and turns along the way. So what's with Yonemura and Shirakura?
