I'm Voluntarily Entering Slowdown Here

Image
As you've noticed I've slowed down updates here with the weekly reviews. I've been watching Kamen Rider Build BUT I feel like slowing down with writing about the latest show for now. I just thought that devoting episode reviews for my Super Sentai blog may be the "easier" decision. On the other hand, I think I"m better off trying to slow down on episode reviews because they're not as easy as you think. Want to know what problem I have behind doing episode reviews? Choosing the right screenshots, pouring out my thoughts on every episode isn't easy. Heck, I'm even thinking that I may just wrap up Space 47-48 next then I'll resume doing episode reviews with Lupinranger vs. Patoranger. As for Kamen Rider Build updates, I may give them once every two to four weeks (or more) depending on how I feel or what plot material would be worth talking about or if something "major" happens or when I feel like it. Other reasons would involve tha...

I'm Now Rewatching IRIS and More!

Image
It's been some time since I realized how much of gold nuggets I had... I'll be rewatching IRIS for now... Another series I could review next is "Delicious Relationships"... and then I'll also include Bambino as well... but I will just have a slow pace as of right now or not...

Just Some Important Stuff for This Blog

For some time, I was thinking this blog has been empty, I ran out of ideas and ended up stealing ideas  from others in the process (Sorry, sorry...).  I just didn't figure out I still had some gold nuggets left unused in my closet, figuratively speaking.  So I just thought I might do some reviews on these. For movies, I would probably need to rewatch the following since I haven't done any reviews yet on these films but I'll just do them one by one, no guarantee I can write them all, I might just do one review a week or two considering my mind is already jumbled up and needs to sort things out: The Banquet Little Big Soldier The Legend The Storm Warriors The Sniper Chinese Ghost Story (remake starring Liu Yi Fei) Black Ransom Twins Mission The Promise Initial D Scripture With No Words The Unusual Youth Magic Kitchen Sky of Love Death Note  Death Note: The Last Name The Empress and Her Warriors Kung Fu Fighter Rob B' Hood  Series: Lo...

List of Dramas to Watch Soon...

Image
Here's a list of drama I hope to watch soon...while I search for a girlfriend. My first choice would be Lovers of Condor Heroes. My reason for wanting this one is to find out what kind of bad guy was Yang Guo's father.  Return of Condor Heroes' main protagonist Yang Guo is the son of the antagonist of Lovers of Condor Heroes, which explains why Yang Guo must clean his name.  I simply want to check this out. Another is Princess Pearl... one of Qiong Yao's lighter dramas.  Ruby in and Vicki Zhao starred in this one before the remake of Romance in the Rain for the 2001 audience. "Home" starring Vic Chou would be interesting for me.  He is paired with Janine Zhang for the second time (the first pairing was in Tea Fight),  In here Vic Chou's character is a Taiwanese doctor drafted into the military.  So far, Vic Chou's change of image from eye candy to serious actor, he may remind one of Qin Han in classic Qiong Yao. Lian Lian Bu Wang  (Loving N...

Reviews to Do... Kim Tae Hee Related and More...

Well I haven't done much reviews for Korean drama lately so I might do some rewatching.  These reviews might be IRIS (I'll probably rewatch it), Forbidden Love and Love Story in Harvard.  Pretty much, I was occupied with my top favorite Chinese dramas and Japanese dramas I forgot about Korean.  I hope this gets me back on track soon.  But I might do my review on Forbidden Love then I'll do some comparisons with it with other horror series for this October. Well I've seen IRIS a year ago so I might have to rewatch it before I review it.  As far as I know, this was more eye candy material for me than it was action-related. Other reviews for Korean drama which I have watched might include Iljimae (first season) and Spring Waltz. I'll probably need to rewatch them as well.  These were reviews taht were overlooked.

New Challenge as a Critic... SITTING THROUGH DEPRESSING STUFF!

Image
Well I guess I'll have to reward myself after really watching the painful world of Kamen Rider Faiz.  So yeah, it was Inoue's disasterpiece considering he had burned out.  Kiva may be a silly season but it's still enjoyable for me.  Now here's what I'm doing lately... I am now sitting through watching the Qiong Yao-type soap opera "Last Night of Madame Chin" which every episode cries buckets of tears.  It almost felt like those old TV dramas that starred Qin Han and his leading ladies like Joan Lin, Brigitte Lin and Liu Xue Hua.  Yup my Kakuranger viewing will slow down as I try to endure all the meldoramatic plotlines here.

Planned Posts for Readers of This Blog

So this blog doesn't have enough posts yet but I will try these critiques soon: Kamen Rider Faiz review- I would really say I'd say this is really where I'm pretty mixed at.  I will do a detailed review like I did with Agito and Kiva, two of Toshiki Inoue's other works.  Well, I'm now drafting the whole Faiz post as well as the comparison.  So far, I'd like to really think about Inoue's strengths and weaknesses in the second post.  And for everything else, I would share my thoughts on the series as a whole then the comparison of the three Riders by Inoue and where's the bad mix then?  Maybe I'll jump in and compare it to Jetman.  Overall, I thought about the first two reviews on Agito and Kiva, now it's time for Faiz.
