My Thoughts On While You Were Sleeping Episodes 11-12

Thanks to Drama Beans for providing the images I make for my weekly reviews.

Okay, this is quite quick and I guess a lot of my expectations or not came true. Hong Joo is back to her job as a reporter and she's back to investigating potassium cyanide poisoned cats. Little does she know her life is in danger and that Chicken Oppa is more than she expected.

So what does the villain Yo-BUMMER do? Okay, I'll call Yo-BUM as Yo-BUMMER because of his actions as the villain. He's a pretty slick villain and Chicken Oppa... surprise or not... killed his younger brother. It wasn't a car accident but it was cyanide poisoning. He had to make sure that the person was surely dead while making it look like an accident. Why was the body immediately disposed of? It's obviously done to hide evidence. Yes, Yo-BUMMER is a master of manipulation. I hope the abused house wife and her daughter get their justice and Yo-BUMMER will get what's coming to him sooner or later.

This is a dark thing to realize that Chicken Oppa is more than just a cheating guy. His younger sister figures out that he's a murderer. This leads to a rather brutal scenario to why the TV drama is only aired at night.

This scene really gets the creeps out of me. Chicken Oppa is more than just a sleaze who cheats people but he's also capable of murder. He stabs Yoo Tak after he's discovered. I assume Yoo-Tak has died though I can't be too certain. I hope that next week will reveal whatever Yoo Tak's fate is. By the looks of it I assume he died.

This scene results to a bit of balance for Hong Joo. He's a gutsy woman yet she's also frail. She's saved Jae Chan before and now it's his turn to return the favor. What I like about K-Drama is that both the leading lady and the leading guy take turns in saving each other or join forces to save people. Hong Joo isn't your typical damsel in distress. She does whatever she can to help others while she's not afraid to ask for help when needed. I feel there's some chemistry between Hong Joo and her would-be love interest Jae Chan. Next week would probably start exposing Yoo-Bummer's evil schemes.

I personally thought this episode was heart pounding in many ways. I admit, I watch this show for smart reasons and dumb reasons. Dumb reason? Well it's because Hong Joo is just hot though she's pretty-well developed I could care less about that. Then again, how many times do I usually miss the point in watching a good show with loads of eye candy? For the heart pounding there's the suspense related to Chicken Oppa. Yes, Chicken Oppa is a sleaze and I really hate to think what harm he could do especially with Yo-Bummer at his side.

What are your thoughts?
