Kamen Rider Geats: Better Ended Than Ryuki, A Watered-Down Squid Game, A Watchable Mess

Kamen Rider Geats has come to an end. After some irregular watches, I've reached the end and I'm going to say it's really in the watchable mess category. Maybe, it's best to say So Bad It's Good or maybe not. Maybe, it's not that big of a mess. I think it reminds me of Kamen Rider Saber as a watchable mess. Other Toku shows by Toei that I enjoyed in spite of being messy are Kamen Rider BLACK RX (which IMHO was a Necessary Failure), B-Fighter Kabuto (which only becomes watchable because Big Bad Beetleborgs and Beetleborgs Metallix are MUCH WORSE), Kamen Rider Kiva (which is considered Toshiki Inoue's lowest point), and maybe I can also include Ressha Sentai ToQGer (which got an award on Railroad Day to help get it vindicated). I think Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters may also include the list and I hear it even got a Cult Following from some Power Rangers fans.  I watched the show thinking about two shows - Kamen Rider Ryuki and Kamen Rider Gaim . By now, readers sh

First Impressions On Disney's ONGOING Series, "Moving"

It's no secret that I do have issues with Disney right now. I don't like how Disney is handling Marvel, it's getting wokified, and the live-action remakes are usually JUST. PLAIN. SUCK. Maybe, I could still give credit to Aladdin since it was still watchable. However, I didn't like the way Beauty and the Beast live-action remake turned out to be. I think Mulan live-action remake makes Mulan too powerful. Better watch the Mulan (2009) Hong Kong movie starring Vicki Zhao instead! I also don't like Disney's version of Star Wars since I'm pretty much a fan of the Lucas Canon aka Legends. I just hate how my favorite villain Palpatine became just an act of desperation.  Then there's this series Moving . This isn't a very surprising move where KDrama meets the X-Men. Fortunately, the production doesn't make it that blatant except for the mutant powers that the cast members have. There's no Professor X counterpart in a wheelchair. There's no Jean

Jirisan: A Strange Mix Of The Supernatural And Disaster Drama

GMA-7 is getting ready to bad dub this show, right? Fortunately, I was able to watch this on Netflix. I wasn't really a fan of Jeon Ji Hyun nor did I really want to marry her back then. If there was any Korean actress I wanted to marry back when I was in college - it was Kim Tae Hee. I decided to watch this since I wanted to explore a disaster drama. What I didn't expect was to get a supernatural drama since a murder victim's ghost drops the ball. In a sense, I didn't expect a ghost to show up in the show.  From  WYNNESWORLD's blog , this is an insight that makes this mixture of supernatural and disaster drama worth the watch: Jirisan was the great because it was based on the real life experiences of the rangers. We catch a glimpse of their daily activities and their response when it comes to disasters such as landslides, storms, floods and even wildfire. We also see them dealing with the violators and the consequence that these violations have on the mountain. We s

When Kamen Rider Veteran Eiji Akaso Fights Off Zombies WITHOUT His Kamen Rider Powers

There's really life after Kamen Rider,  right? I remembered when Sota Fukushi wasn't able ot show up in Kamen Rider Zi-O because he was filming Bleach . It was even shown at the end up of the episode that only a stunt double was used. I haven't seen the nude comedy where both Atsuhiko Inukai from Kamen Rider Build and Ryo Ryusei from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger . Fortunately, Eiji Akaso himself didn't get into the humiliating role that his co-star Atsuhiko had. Instead, Eiji himself stars in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead which is a horror comedy. Watching it late at night wasn't scary but FUNNY. Eiji stars as Akira Tendo - an overworked office drone who is hardly appreciated. With him are Mai Shiraishi (as Shizuka Mikazuki) and Shuntaro Yanagi (as Kenichiro Ryuuzaki). What's interesting is to see Nomura's actor from Killers show up as a bastard who uses every crisis for his opportunity. Kazuki Kitamura knows how to scare people even in an absurd comedy. Kazuk

My Thoughts On Kamen Rider Gotchard's Reveal

Like I said, I only REACT to updates, NOT GIVE THEM! It's time to finally do some "fresh content" since I've been watching more stuff I haven't seen from a few years back or even decades back. As Kamen Rider Geats may have wrapped up - it's time to check on Kamen Rider Gotchard. I checked on Orends Range and found out that the update came out just yesterday . I'm going to give my random rant on the UPCOMING show.  The plot goes like this: In the series, artificial lifeforms called Chemy were created by collecting the best alchemy techniques, and are made to imitate all things that exist in this world. There are a total of 101 Chemies, and they are stored in a card called "Ride Chemy Card". However, these cards, which have been carefully stored, popped out and were released all at once! High school student Hotaro Ichinose is entrusted with the Gotchardriver and is given the mission to collect all the Chemy that were released in this world. That sa

Wacky Rant: When I Compared KDrama Celebrities To Nickelodeon Stars

Koreaboo Well, it's time for a strange rant while I'm thinking of what Korean drama I'd be watching. I heard of Mask Girl on Netflix but it seems I might not like the plot. With a bit of a crazy mind - I want to write this post recalling a crazy time when I actually compared Korean drama actresses with NICKELODEON stars of all places. So what really happened? After watching Dream High - I ended up comparing Suzy Bae to Victoria Justice  It wasn't easy to compare Dream High to the Nickelodeon show Victorious . I ended up enjoying it more than Victorious . Okay, I used to watch Victorious before becaus I find Victoria Justice pretty. Then I watched Dream High sometime after watching Uncontrollably Fond and While You Were Sleeping . Baek Hee was pretty much the "Jade" of the show while Hae Ri was pretty much the Tori of the show. Fortunately, Hae Ri doesn't have an annoying older sister to deal with. I soon compared Suzy Bae to Victoria Justice. Both are sing
