What Could Have Been... The Jerry x Barbie Pairing in the Past....

Image
I was watching Meteor Garden 1 and 2 and even if they do have their own lives, Jerry Yan x Barbie Xu on screen pairing did have that chemistry I thought could have been utilized for far more different scripts.  I was even thinking while watching some classic Qiong Yao novels... I tend to compare the pairing to... Qin Han (Sun Xiang Zhong) and Liu Xue Hua back in the 80s.  I just had my thoughts Jerry Yan kind of looks like Qin Han in some way... the chemistry was there.  I mean the Jerry x Barbie pairing could have been used for any Qiong Yao remakes like Courtyard or Seagull's Home. Sadly the chemistry wasn't fully utilized but oh well... Barbie Xu's now retired from acting, happily married and for Jerry Yan, hope he finds true love soon. =)  Hmmm if a remake of Flower Falls, Flower Blooms will be done, maybe a Jerry Yan x Esther Liu or Liu Yi Fei pairing can be possible too.  Too bad Jerry Yan and Barbie Xu didn't do beyond Meteor Garden like a remake ...

A Wonderful Life is Apparently A Remake of Sorts to Brilliant Legacy

Image
Looking at this trailer, it's actually a remake of Brilliant Legacy.  Seriously, only if Jerry Yan could star in Chiung Yao remakes as well, aside from remakes of Korean films.  I do have a problem with remakes sometimes but they're not fakes if they had licenses like Power Rangers is a licensed adaptation of Super Sentai.  So moving on- I think it's way more fitting for Lee Seung Gi to play the role of the spoiled grandson than Jerry Yan, age wise compared to Jerry Yan who is 36 years old already.  Hmmm... but Jerry Yan seems to be the Chin Han of this generation that is looking younger than how he is or being a drama heartthrob in some way.  So I just thought the scenes in here look more funny than those in Brilliant Legacy and there are some major changes like Jerry Yan's character may be a jerk but he may be less violent than to that of Lee Seung Gi's.  But seriously, Jerry Yan should get roles that fit his actual age.

Here are some screenshots of Erika Toda for "Shotenin Michiru no mi no ue Banashi" which I would consider would be in my critique list. =)

Three Great F4 Series This Year...

Image
I just thought despite the fact F4 looks like it has disbanded, I still like them.  So far, here's their three individual series to watch this year... Vanness Wu x Joan Tseng in the TV drama "Ti Amo" which is about chocolates.  Okay there's kind of the Coffee Prince theme to it but it looks pretty cute and interesting, especially Joan Tzeng is kind of cute even if I don't find her on the hot side.  I just thought this is a what if you paired Ryosuke Kaizo (Red Mask) with Sayuri Uchida (Blue Swallow) and these guys ended up doing it. Vic Zhou in "Home".  It's pretty much one of the more serious sides of him after "Black and White", "Wish to See You Again" and "The Last Night of Madame Chin".  I feel like this is one of those Chiung Yao like shows and he's playing the roles similar to Sun Xiao Zhong (Chin Han of Taiwan).  I pretty wished that Chin Han would appear here as his father or something.  I really like...

Just Wanting to Check Out "Hua Luo Hua Kai"

Image
Hua Luo Hua Kai  or in English "Flower Falls, Flower Blooms" to which stars Chin Han (Sun Xiao Zhong) and the lovely Yue Ling (sadly she retired, I wish she would act as a parent in any newer drama, maybe as Esther Liu's mom perhaps?) which tackles on a woman who's dumped by her ex-husband ends up finding love in the most unexpected way.  I just thought that Chin Han still has his charm here despite the fact he was already moving into the background due to age related reasons.  Despite the fact that Chin Han would be better off acting as Jerry Yan's father (I wish he did!!!!) he's still a classic to watch.  And as of current, his pictures show he's still kind of handsome for an old guy.  Now only if I can see the picture of his family in the recent years.  I just thought it'd be weird if Jerry Yan would be cast in Chin Han's role in a remake if a remake of this series happens.

Vic Zhou in His Medical Attire as "Dr. Su Tai Ying" in 1945 Off the SHore

Here are some photos of Vic Zhou in his medical attire.  I would say he really looks great here as a wartime doctor.  Each of the pictures here display his sorrow and doubt as a doctor.

Vic Zhou's "The Other Shore 1945" Drama Screenshots in the Battlefield

Image
Here are some screenshots of Vic Zhou's challenging role as "Dr. Su Tai Ying" in the battlefield.  These screenshots just are marvelously done with him in his uniform. He looks like he's getting shot for betrayal or what? A very confused man in the battlefield? Taking orders perhaps?
