Kamen Rider 01 Episode 16 - Dawn Of ZAIA

Better titled as, "When commercialism takes over Christmas!" huh? This episode would start an interesting arc where ZAIA Enterprises take over. It's not exactly a Christmas-focused episode, unlike some previous entries during the Showa and Heisei era.  We had Christmas focused episode/s during Ryuki, Kabuto, Den-O, OOO, Fourze, Wizard, Gaim, Drive, Ghost, EX-AID, Build , and Zi-O . A shame really for me Kuuga didn't have it while Timeranger had. For Japan, Christmas is more of a romantic occasion than a religious one but let's not deviate too much. We also have a HumaGear goes berserk during the Christmas season causing controversy. This episode also features the death of Metsubo Jinrai's Jin (or is it) because HumaGears could be rebuilt, right? The incident nearly causes Aruto to be voted of Hiden Enterprises out but instead - the board still has their confidence in him. Why not? He's the show's hero after all! I still wonder should Jun aka &q

Kamen Rider 01 Episodes 14-15 - The Brother HumaGears

The relationship between Izu and her "brother" Wazu was explored in episodes 12-13 . Now, two astronaut brothers develop a bond. Metsubo Jinrai shows just how dastardly they are and there's also the Ark plot all over again. Just is the Ark already a sentient being or not? There's some mysteries in this episode. Also, I don't blame Isamu's hotheaded random tantrums from erupting due to his childhood experience.  The first half shows the sibling bond of the two robots named Raiden and Subaru. Raiden is the Japanese god of thunder and Subaru means unite. Both robots have this bond as they were destined to be astronauts. I think it's only fitting that we're getting this brother HumaGear arc. Izu's focus story has her and her "brother" Wazu. The bond of them is just so strong. Subaru was deeply saddened when Raiden was destroyed. At times, I just wish I could punch both Horobi and Jin for their sadism towards BOTH humans and HumaGears.

I'm Currently Trying To Watch 'Once Upon A Time In Lingjian Mountain'

Right now, I decided to try to watch some other new school stuff on Netflix or go from 2018 and backwards with other new stuff. I think I might give Once Upon a time in Lingjian Mountain a shot. I was watching some Vagabond and I feel it needs either a second season or a movie finale. The series is destined to last until December 21, 2019. It started on November 12, 2019, so I missed a lot of weeks already. But the beauty of Internet TV is that you can watch shows at their own pace, right? I'd hate to have this show aired by either ABS-CBN or GMA-7. Here's the plot as Netflix would describe it: As the nine continents face a crisis, a young disciple joins the Spirit Blade sect and comes under the tutelage of a temperamental sage. It would be easy to call the show Wuxia. Yes, it's Wuxia but there's the subgenre known as Xianxia. Xianxia is Wuxia mixed with all the magical elements. So, the Condor Trilogy is the Xianxia type of Wuxia novel. I've seen the first f

How The More Mature Heisei Riders Up To Zero-One May Probably Still Appeal To My Inner Child

I would probably consider it strange that I usually prefer newer Kamen Rider to newer Super Sentai. I would say I even prefer most new school Kamen Rider to old school Kamen Rider . I don't even find myself a fan of old school Showa era Kamen Riders. The oldest I'd actually go back for the now-over Heisei Rider era is with Kuuga and I've actually watched all of the old school Heisei era. Usually, my reasons for not liking most of the old school Showa era is the fact that the kind of felt more "kiddie" even if I'm still willing to check them out. I still wonder how many people want to take more of a look at the old school Showa era or even take the completionist challenge . I'm still willing to but I find the Heisei era up to the present Reiwa era more enjoyable. Now, it's just time to ask myself (or maybe my readers) if Heisei Riders from Kuuga up to Zero-One still appeal to their inner child. I still can't forget how Japan Info  would descr

Kamen Rider 01 Episodes 12-13: A Robot Detective And Shining Hopper

Well, it's time for another arc summary for Kamen Rider Zero One. right now, I do feel I may be either too enthusiastic or not for the show. This week's episode features a bit of Izu and her "older brother" Wazu as a detective android. Right now, I do feel a real rotten conspiracy which is probably secretly orchestrated by ZAIA Enterprises. This arc also features a bit of the bast of Izu which reveals that she's more than just a machine - she's a machine with feelings! Side note, I wish Maaya Uchida were Izu for this series! There's a bit of confusion about that "Little Assassin". I always wondered why are we getting these guys? It's no surprise that these were replica series. There are five of them called the Zetto Matsurida series which were created to dance in festivals. Okay, I'm getting a bit more of the need to do research on Japanese festivals. That means Dodo Magia used to be a festival robot before he was hacked by Metsubo
