Vagabond Episode 10: It's A Ticking Time Bomb

A time bomb is ticking if you know what I mean. The reality is Vagabond is just three weeks away before it concludes. That means I might consider either taking a break from K-Drama or watch Yong Pal (which I haven't). The time bomb is ticking as explosive revelations are about to begin to enter into the fray. There's a lot of interesting gun action too as two sides of the coin are really about to clash. Just remember three more weeks (six more episodes) to go and the TV drama is about to conclude.

The Friday episode has some high stakes there. I wonder who put the bomb there. There's the call to dial this number, get to Bullet Chicken, and the codename is "Vagabond" which is the title of the show. I really found it weird (at first) as to why Dal Gun is ordered to set his timer on his smartphone. As it turns out, there's a bomb in the embassy. I guess Chief Min isn't competent enough to realize that there is some hidden information. The whole gunning scene is intense and it's a real nightmare fuel to watch. Try watching Vagabond before going to bed and try not to have nightmares about terrorist attacks!

The scene involving the assassins vs. the bomb is something. Dal Gun is stalling them. I think it's only normal that the assassins sent by Super Science Network, I mean, John & Mark would think Dal Gun is bluffing. Who would believe a failed stunt actor that there's a bomb in the embassy? The bomb blows off and it kills the whole assassin team. The carnage is unspeakable as the whole team gets buried in rubbles. Tae Woong then proceeds to do the grimly by finishing off the team of assassins. However, he's still given the order to kill Dal Gun and Hae Ri. He doesn't go with them and he submits a false report.

What's interesting to know is that Chief Min's corruption is motivated by his hatred for Director Kang. Chief Min uses his sweet-talking to win his position even if he's obviously incompetent. Why Jessica even hires him or allies with him is mind-boggling. Jessica could've just killed Chief Min early on because he could jeopardize the operation. Chief Min isn't even a good villain. Chief Min tries to murder Director Kang with what I assume to be potassium chloride. Chief Min supposedly dies but how in the world did he answer the phone? Did he fake his death because it turns out that Dynamic Systems has powerful connections too?

Meanwhile, Jessica is still up to her old snake tricks. She tries to fabricate evidence against Edward Park but it fails. Shadow exclaims that Edward is "clean as a whistle". Edward also has powerful connections that may counter Jessica's influence. I just love how Edward tells Jessica where wicked people like her really belong. "Burn in Hell!" is really a priceless reaction from Edward towards that wicked witch!

The Morocco scenes are just as intense. I still think about trying to get Dr. Shiina errr Captain Garoa errr Woo Gi in one piece is something. Woo Gi is too important a witness to die. I love the chase scenes. It just turns out that one of Jessica's henchmen in Morocco finally bites the dust. Jessica's henchmen try to get Woo Gi out because it's too risky if he sings out everything. A villain like Jessica obviously knows how to cover her bloody footprints or manipulate others. Why Jessica still keeps that idiot Chief Min around is beyond me. I really find this almost like what if Dr. Shiina in Janperson survived and he would end up blurting out Super Science Network's secrets. He's too dangerous to be left alive.

The next scene has both Dal Gun and Hae Ri escaping Morocco. I really admire how the operation Vagabond can be that dangerous. They ride a boat going back to South Korea. However, they have to have extra caution. Hae Ri calls the network given by Tae Woong to her and says the code name "Vagabond". It turns out that Director Kang somehow faked his death (don't ask me how) and is putting a rather childish distraction.

The funniest part has to be this one. Various videos start hitting South Korea and sending misinformation. Dal Gun starts trolling the idiots at the National Intelligence Service (NIS). All that idiot Chief Min can do is whine. Chief Min and Shadow did set up a script for Tae Woong. However, it seems that Tae Woong and other members of the NIS do have a plan to spring back. Tae Woong does his part but he's probably got a brilliant back-up plan. Just remember Hwa Sook still has her loyalties to the real director of the NIS. Just think of Tae Woong as a brilliant troll. He's not even intimidated by Shadow's gunning skills either.

Now, the real battle is about to begin and just expect the last three weeks to be that brutal! Who's excited to see the climax?
