Trying to Secure Zhen Xiu Zhen's Dramas

Image
Okay I did mistaken her to be Liu Xue Hua.  However with her convincing performance in Meteor Garden as an antagonist, I'd like to see her for once as the protagonist in her earlier days.  It's kind of a nice twist she turned from leading lady to evil antagonist showing her acting is classic!

Shan Cai's Piano vs. Dao Ming Feng

Image
In Meteor Garden, it's just plain despicable when Dao Ming Feng shows just how much of a bitch she is (and this scene was also in Hana Yori Dango) shows how arrogant she can be.  So here, Shan Tsai plays the piano horribly and shows one song, to lecture the witch of a woman of her arrogance.

Saddest F4 Dramas

Image
Here's two of the saddest F4 dramas and why... Starlit- Jerry Yan and Terri Kwan play a doomed couple where the girl is suffering from muscular degeneration, which the ending was, three days after the wedding she DIES.  Talk about a very screwed up story!  I honestly felt this was almost inspired by Chiung Yao's dramas which Chin Han was a very huge participant in the older days in its rather sad atmosphere. Silence- Vic Zhou playing the dying hero with Park Shin Hye, though I liked Lavender better is an old woman's favorite.  It's pretty much a reverse of grandma's old videos because here it's the hero and not the heroine who dies at the end of the story.  That one year to live because of chronic liver cancer is just so painful... and he tries to make his 365 days worth his while.  Sad ending.

One Scene I Think Should Have Been in Meteor Garden

Image
There was one scene I saw in Hana Yori Dango I believe SHOULD have been in Meteor Garden and which is where Tsukushi (Shan Tsai) slapped Kaede's (Dao Ming Feng) on her face.  It could have been a powerful scene knowing that she's a witch (and yep, the actress Zhen Xiu Zhen did make the character come to life so easily) and she got slapped at least once.  After all, she just slaps anybody without remorse and she's such a witch that just needs to be attacked!

Meteor Garden II's Unforgettable NGs

Image
Here's what I'd call Meteor Garden II's unforgettable NGs as it involves Zhen Xiu Zhen (the woman playing the antagonist) showing off the REAL her as not as a cold and callous person as a kind and gentle woman.  I give credit to her acting abilities and yes, at least she made us forget how hateful her character Dao Ming Feng really was. :)

What I Liked and Didn't Like About Meteor Garden II

Image
Meteor Garden I was good but Meteor Garden II though as much as I liked it, I didn't like it as much.   Here's what I like about it: Dao Ming Feng as the evil witch is given an extended part.  She's so important a villain to be given so less a role!   Dao Ming Si's character development.  At least in the end, he becomes more mature. More emphasis on Dao Ming Si-Hua Tze Lei love triangle is given. Here are the weaker sides of the drama: Less confrontation between Shan Cai and Dao Ming Feng.  Shan Cai's weaker side is revealed, then again even every tough weed has a weakness. Yesha.  Yeesh.  I really didn't like her character even if I didn't want her to die or anything.  I just felt like she was getting in the way without knowing it. :P Also Ximen's father.  He reminds me of some of my character flaws.  Well the show got me to a certain point! Ge Wei Ru should have acted as Ximen's mom.  I think she looks...

Liu Xue Hua and Kenny Bee in Yang Shuo Chong Luo

Image
This is one my favorite soap opera themes, a classic and it involves Liu Xue Hua as the abused daughter-in-law (in the remake she IS the monster-in-law with Ady An playing her previous role).  I just want to watch both versions and see how she transitioned from abused daughter-in-law to the super duper evil monster-in-law. Here's the opening to Yun Niang where Liu Xue Hua is the cruel mother-in-law.
