This week's episodes of Start-Up really focuses on one theme - crashing away from Delu-World - wait, wrong show! Well, that's been the issue of childhood vs. adulthood. Remember that some things you believe in are a child are shattered? Dal Mi ends up bringing up the issue that it's time to grow-up. It's because the Do San who wrote the letters is different from the Do San that she has met years later. The Do San who wrote the letters is Ji Pyeung. Speaking of which, Pi Jyeung plays a very important role in this episode.
The sibling rivalry goes intensely in the demonstration. For Dal Mi, she's still bitter about her mother remarrying a rich man. However, it turns out Dal Mi's mother isn't happy in her second marriage. Dal Mi's group manages to beat In Jae in the security features. This causes them to actually get the offer to be bought over by money. What they don't realize is that Alex Kwon maybe a guy too focused on profits. Alex himself hires only those deemed qualified causing Samsam Tech to disband. This is where Ji Pyeung's management sharp skills (and tactless sharp tongue) kick in. Just think that Ji Pyeung isn't called the Gordon Ramsay of investments in this show for nothing! The offer is too good to be true and they accepted it. Worse, there's a penalty for rejecting the contract once it's signed!
Ji Pyeung is the kind of guy who crashes you away from Delu-World when you need it! Yes, the offer is too good to be true, and that the Do San and Dal Mi should've REVIEWED the conditions of the contract. However, Ji Pyeung also has somewhat lost his heart and mind when he focused too much on profits. What Ji Pyeung doesn't know is that Do San's intention to create that application was because Dal Mi's paternal grandmother is slowly going blind. Ji Pyeung is a jerk with a heart of gold hidden underneath. This causes Ji Pyeung to tear up when he realizes that maybe he got too stuck with profits.
Is the offer really good? Well, Dal Mi tells Do San it's time to stop playing make believe a grow up from that delusion. Can Dal Mi going to America be a good thing? Dal Mi tearfully tells Do San the truth like Ji Pyeung would. Dal Mi values Ji Pyeung's harsh remarks as a way to become better. Right now, there's only two more weeks and I wonder how it'll end up.
