Vagabond Episode 2: Mourning For The Victims Of The Plane Crash In Morocco

Well, it looks like I'm just going to do some compromise such as maybe, write a review based on two episodes per week (so I can watch two in one and SAVE TIME) in one in the following reviews. At this time, I think about the latest plot material involved. I might be wrong Hae Ri did the shooting and maybe, somebody else with a black cloak was out there. Hae Ri is a member of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) who may be in pursuit of the same case.

I dunno are the producers behind Vagabond watching Tokusatsu with a few Toku lookalikes? They also cast Moon Jong Hee as Jessica Lee, the president of the Asian branch of John and Mark company -- she does freaking look like Atsuko Takahata! Dae Gun barges in and reveals that one of the members of the crash SURVIVED. How that survival happened still baffles me as much as Durant surviving the helicopter crash in the first Darkman movie. Did he have some special parachute or teleportation? Granted, this has sci-fi elements going on so just prepare to suspend disbelief as many times as possible. Personally, I kinda wished Captain Masaki in Solbrain would restrain Dal Gun but he's not Jun Masuda -- the actor Hidenori Iura (who played as Doctor Man's son in Bioman) would be in his 50s by now. Lee Seung Gi freaking looks like said Japanese actor! Suzy Bae looks a lot like Maaya Uchida.

The whole chase, the whole attempt to reveal the terrorist behind the "accident" is really tough. Edward Park enters remorseful and reveals he's lost both his wife and daughter. He reveals that for Dynamic Systems that it's just a number. Dal Gun does also get into a situation with Hae Ri because she doesn't seem to remember. The cameras were messed up or did the killer named Jerome used some concealer to cover his scar. But he's sure one freakishly deadly person who's probably sent by Jessica. Jessica is shown to be cold-blooded and it's hinted that she ordered the assassination of Michael (who tried to call about the plane crash) with how she approached a dead corpse. Like, WTF she's freaking cold and scary! The only thing missing for her is to actually drop off Jerome down a trap door to his death like Reiko does it in Janperson!

I think something's kinda wrong with the scene where Dal Gun meets a cloaked Hae Ri under the rain. So did Hae Ri kill Michael or not at the orders of someone or not? Or is there someone else out there wearing black and the directors are teasing us with teases? I still find it funny that an amateur stuntman turned taxi driver could actually restrain a female member of the NIA. In real life, both Seung Gi and Suzy have their training to fight. Seung Gi passed his military training a few years ago. Suzy is a black belt. I think Hae Ri could've kneed Dal Gun at the groin and maybe incapacitate him. This really just creates a silly scene where Dal Gun tries to get some answers from Hae Ri. Hae Ri does seem stupid at times and all that's probably missing is for her to cry like a cartoon character in an R-18 series.

The scene where the mourners cry is so sad. Hae Ri stands in the background. It's worse than Hiroyo Hakase having to deal with the Akibarangers landing into the sun. It really makes me think about what it means to lose a lot of people at once. For Dynamic Systems, the 211 is just a number. For Edward, it's a tragedy and I have a feeling that Jessica may order Edward's assassination soon. You could take a look at the mannerisms Jessica has towards Michael and how cold she gets. Some of those who died were merely children. I really felt that the scene could spark outrage to anyone. Those 211 people who died are not merely numbers! I can't blame the families for their violent reactions. I would be as angry as them if I were in their place!

Dal Gun's impulsiveness always gets him into trouble and even lands him in jail. He's that desperate to get the people behind the plane crash incident. He ends up falsely accusing a hotel cleaner of being in cahoots. I just love how Hae Ri manages to use her brain to negotiate out of the situation. Dal Gun did deserve some jail time for attempting to get justice himself. Hae Ri does send a copy of the video back to NIS from Morocco to South Korea for analysis. It turns out that after some analysis that we get the conversation in Spanish. This one also causes trouble when Jerome would later hack right into Dal Gun's laptop and delete the files. Jerome's life seems to be in the line should he fail. I wonder would Jessica drop him down a trap door or what? Jessica does look like a very cold woman to me. I'd be too scared to work for her!

What's about to happen next is a real thriller!

"Light The Night's" Finale (Spoilers Ahead)

SpikyTV I guess the series just kept us guessing, right? I finally got the chance to finish it after some busy nights. I was right that the killer was HANA (Esther Liu) BUT there's a twist - it was more of voluntary manslaughter than murder. Manslaughter is when one kills out of the heat of passion and that's what Hana did twice in the story. Hana had one against a client who used her and another against Sue after some unfortunate insanity attack. Hana ends up planning to hand herself over but her lover commits murder (towards a character named Chiang An) to protect her.  The whole psychological thriller for me just didn't match up to what I wanted. I guess I was too used to how Victim's Game rolled out. I was expecting some real murder scheme. Instead, it was the anti-climatic manslaughter where Hana decides to hand herself to the authorities after what she did. I really still think that the finale wasn't worth too much of the wait. I was expecting something gran

I Just Finished "My Golden Life"

I finally finished My Golden Life which I was hesitant to watch. 52 one-hour long episodes? I was thinking it was easier to watch the Wuxia series that had 40+ minutes per episode such as Princess Weiyang which was quite long. A lot of episodes of My Golden Life would have a few minutes more depending on the coverage of the episode. So, I'm done and I never thought I'd actually finish it since I'm way too used to short K-Dramas. This one was rather long but it was rather entertaining in many ways. I was thinking about how Shin Hye Sun actually did well with on-screen partner Park Si Hoo. Sometimes, I'd like to joke about how they had a chemistry that looked good and felt good. Looked good? Both aren't attractive and I often joke how Hye Sun's face feels melted or how she was rightfully matched with Lee Jong Suk in Hymn of Death . Hye Sun isn't pretty but she really makes up with her good acting and likability. The same goes for Si Hoo with how he acts out hi

Just Finished "My Glamorous Imperial Concubine" (Some Spoilers)

This is another Wuxia series finished. I was having some expectations broken. The show can be full of spoilers when discussed even further. In fact, some characters are walking spoilers. If you're not ready to be spoiled - DON'T READ. If not, you can read further. I feel the show had some plot twists and turns. Besides, maybe some of the villains in this show weren't as evil as you think.  Emperor Liancheng is an antagonist but dies before the show can end. Liancheng may have some idiotic obsession with Ma Fuya. It becomes even worse when Liancheng's younger sister Liansi and his younger brother Lianxi get involved. Liansi develops a crush on Meng Qiyou and even gets pregnant in the process. It seems that Ma Fuya was pregnant with Liancheng's baby but ends up in Qiyou's household after Liancheng dies. Liancheng dies doing a selfless act to save Ma Fuya. The obsessive empress Ma Xiangyun commits suicide to kill Emperor Liancheng. Emperor Liancheng's quite a
