Vagabond Episode 3: From Morocco And Back To South Korea

Well, it's time for another Vagabond review. It looks like these are the final shots in Morocco where the killers are in. I would have to envy the cast if they were eating delicious Moroccan food themselves. Anyway, the conspiracy continues. It turns that while Dal Gun is an idiot -- he does have instincts that you can trust. Do you remember that reckless decision he had with a cleaner last week? It turns out that the cleaner was an accomplice. The janitor was tasked to remove the laptop containing the video that contained incriminating information -- something that could put John & Mark Company in danger if it were leaked out. It had to look like it was just an accident when it isn't.

There's a lot of cool gun scenes and action scenes. I do admit it's kind of stupid to how Hae Ri gets easily overpowered by Dal Gun but she could apprehend an assassin. I guess it's because she hasn't expected Dal Gun to have some basic raw skill so she was caught unprepared. I love how Hae Ri proves that looks can be deadly. Hae Ri is beautiful as a rose and deadly as its thorns. The fight with that "janitor" is really one badass scene. I really love how she could still keep her cool, unlike Dal Gun. I also love the scene involving Dal Gun vs. Hae Ri in an argument. Hae Ri does show that Dal Gun has lots to learn especially in the scene involving an assassin. Hae Ri convinces Dal Gun that they need to first go back to South Korea in order to find out the masterminds behind the plane crash.

Is it me or does the National Intelligence Service (NIS) within this continuity contain such stupid people? A virus just got in, a sudden investigation, and the head of its office is a real nincompoop. Like what kind of person would tell you to dismiss something just because the evidence is lost? I felt like strangling that stupid old man. A crime is a crime even when evidence is supposedly lost. You need to find more evidence!

Speaking of Jessica Lee -- I kinda wonder if the casting of actress Moon Jeong Hee is just coincidental or incidental. Both she and Atsuko Takahata sound very much alike even if they aren't the same person. Both actresses can be scary if need be. The way she moves is like Reiko Ayanokouji from Janperson. I think she probably ordered Jerome's death in this episode. She also uses a couple of strippers to tease the men of the Ministry of Defense. Then she goes as far as to actually seduce the Minister of Defense to do her bidding. She sets him up in a rage, frames his men then manipulates him for her own selfish ends. It's chilling what that bitch can do especially she has allies within the NIS. It turns out that the "good doctor" Dr. Kim is in cahoots with her.

A new scene really gets a seductive and attractive villain named Lily. So, I'm not too accustomed to who's who but I admit -- she would probably be the end of me if we met. She's a seductress and she just placed an end to some fat old white loser. Jessica orders Lily to kill Dal Gun next. Lily does have what could be a foolproof plan. This is a plan to set him up, get him into a shock and then inject some deadly substance that won't be easily detected. Dal Gun manages to notice something is fishy and ends up countering the potential assassination threat.

"Light The Night's" Finale (Spoilers Ahead)

SpikyTV I guess the series just kept us guessing, right? I finally got the chance to finish it after some busy nights. I was right that the killer was HANA (Esther Liu) BUT there's a twist - it was more of voluntary manslaughter than murder. Manslaughter is when one kills out of the heat of passion and that's what Hana did twice in the story. Hana had one against a client who used her and another against Sue after some unfortunate insanity attack. Hana ends up planning to hand herself over but her lover commits murder (towards a character named Chiang An) to protect her.  The whole psychological thriller for me just didn't match up to what I wanted. I guess I was too used to how Victim's Game rolled out. I was expecting some real murder scheme. Instead, it was the anti-climatic manslaughter where Hana decides to hand herself to the authorities after what she did. I really still think that the finale wasn't worth too much of the wait. I was expecting something gran

I Just Finished "My Golden Life"

I finally finished My Golden Life which I was hesitant to watch. 52 one-hour long episodes? I was thinking it was easier to watch the Wuxia series that had 40+ minutes per episode such as Princess Weiyang which was quite long. A lot of episodes of My Golden Life would have a few minutes more depending on the coverage of the episode. So, I'm done and I never thought I'd actually finish it since I'm way too used to short K-Dramas. This one was rather long but it was rather entertaining in many ways. I was thinking about how Shin Hye Sun actually did well with on-screen partner Park Si Hoo. Sometimes, I'd like to joke about how they had a chemistry that looked good and felt good. Looked good? Both aren't attractive and I often joke how Hye Sun's face feels melted or how she was rightfully matched with Lee Jong Suk in Hymn of Death . Hye Sun isn't pretty but she really makes up with her good acting and likability. The same goes for Si Hoo with how he acts out hi

Just Finished "My Glamorous Imperial Concubine" (Some Spoilers)

This is another Wuxia series finished. I was having some expectations broken. The show can be full of spoilers when discussed even further. In fact, some characters are walking spoilers. If you're not ready to be spoiled - DON'T READ. If not, you can read further. I feel the show had some plot twists and turns. Besides, maybe some of the villains in this show weren't as evil as you think.  Emperor Liancheng is an antagonist but dies before the show can end. Liancheng may have some idiotic obsession with Ma Fuya. It becomes even worse when Liancheng's younger sister Liansi and his younger brother Lianxi get involved. Liansi develops a crush on Meng Qiyou and even gets pregnant in the process. It seems that Ma Fuya was pregnant with Liancheng's baby but ends up in Qiyou's household after Liancheng dies. Liancheng dies doing a selfless act to save Ma Fuya. The obsessive empress Ma Xiangyun commits suicide to kill Emperor Liancheng. Emperor Liancheng's quite a
