Kamen Rider Zi-O Meets His Evil Future Self

Well I guess this should be my final post for the year. Yup, I'm already bracing myself for Vagabond either. This is a pretty interesting arc when Kamen Rider Zi-O's present and future self are idealistically different. In the future, we see an elderly man who rules the future with an iron fist but how did he become like that from a sweet and innocent teenager that he is? This also brings forth more of Tsukasa Kadoya's appearance with a total of four episodes!

I like how the future and present are colliding in a smoother way than previous episodes. The forces of Demon King Zi-O start to attack the present. A new villain under the authority of Demon King Zi-O called Kashin arrives. Kashin is an agent of Demon King Zi-O and looks like they want to accelerate the time itself to allow the ascension faster than expected.

This is where things get intense. Sougo in the present wants to become a good overlord but only sees his evil self. Tsukasa does the unthinkable or not -- he literally hurls Sougo into the dystopian future that is to come. Oh wait -- is Tsukasa or Decade the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come? He arrives in said spot and witnesses the future he may end up creating unless something is done. To do so, Sougo ends up allowing Geiz to destroy the Zi-O Rider Belt but it doesn't really change much.

What I find weird is why did Kashin cease to exist as a result? Instead, the Time Jackers start to play Kashin on their side. Geiz and Tsukuyomi plan to return to the future only to find out that the Time Jackers are still a threat to our current existence. Woz ends up manipulating both sides to ensure the rise of Demon King Zi-O -- he even goes as far as to give another Rider Belt to Sougo! Sougo is still hesitant to do so. Geiz gives assurance to Souta that should the later become the Demon King -- that the former would eventually keep that promise to prevent said event!

The event causes the now elderly Sougo to re-exist in the Year 2068. So what's really going on? Next week, Woz would also become another Kamen Rider. I'm really having a feeling that the answer to why Zi-O became Oma Zi-O is not yet discovered. But as said my Wild Mass Guess right now is that Souta used said powers to steal the answer sheet, cheated his way and a number of events transpired similar to Danny Phantom's Dark Danny storyline. It's just a hunch, okay?

  1. Merry Christmas to you.
Another friendly correction, Just letting you know that zi-o's first name is Sougo, not Souta (I'm guessing you must have confused his name to fourze's actor, Souta Fukushi, which you unknowingly posted in your past post).
I agree that this arc is a good break after several episodes where past riders show up (exceptions being fourze, and wizard due to their actors being absent), and we got a glimpse of what Oma Zi-O can do.
It seems that Kashin is no more than a fodder after being defeated first and turned into a tool by the Jackers only to be scrapped.
Guess this is Decade's exit for now, and a new plot element comes in after Sougo is forced to become Zi-O again to stop the now-rogue kashin, resulting in Oma Zi-O coming back.
With new riders coming (Wiz and Shinobi), hope the new episodes would feature several episode story arcs, whilst the remaining tribute arcs would take a backseat for the time-being.
Also, just to let you know:
    1) Zi-O episode 17 will air January 6, as next week the superhero block takes a new-year break to welcome 2019.
    2) Kento Shimoyama will be writing again, so hopefully his plot would improve and not worsen it.
That's all and happy holidays to you.

"Light The Night's" Finale (Spoilers Ahead)

SpikyTV I guess the series just kept us guessing, right? I finally got the chance to finish it after some busy nights. I was right that the killer was HANA (Esther Liu) BUT there's a twist - it was more of voluntary manslaughter than murder. Manslaughter is when one kills out of the heat of passion and that's what Hana did twice in the story. Hana had one against a client who used her and another against Sue after some unfortunate insanity attack. Hana ends up planning to hand herself over but her lover commits murder (towards a character named Chiang An) to protect her.  The whole psychological thriller for me just didn't match up to what I wanted. I guess I was too used to how Victim's Game rolled out. I was expecting some real murder scheme. Instead, it was the anti-climatic manslaughter where Hana decides to hand herself to the authorities after what she did. I really still think that the finale wasn't worth too much of the wait. I was expecting something gran

I Just Finished "My Golden Life"

I finally finished My Golden Life which I was hesitant to watch. 52 one-hour long episodes? I was thinking it was easier to watch the Wuxia series that had 40+ minutes per episode such as Princess Weiyang which was quite long. A lot of episodes of My Golden Life would have a few minutes more depending on the coverage of the episode. So, I'm done and I never thought I'd actually finish it since I'm way too used to short K-Dramas. This one was rather long but it was rather entertaining in many ways. I was thinking about how Shin Hye Sun actually did well with on-screen partner Park Si Hoo. Sometimes, I'd like to joke about how they had a chemistry that looked good and felt good. Looked good? Both aren't attractive and I often joke how Hye Sun's face feels melted or how she was rightfully matched with Lee Jong Suk in Hymn of Death . Hye Sun isn't pretty but she really makes up with her good acting and likability. The same goes for Si Hoo with how he acts out hi

Just Finished "My Glamorous Imperial Concubine" (Some Spoilers)

This is another Wuxia series finished. I was having some expectations broken. The show can be full of spoilers when discussed even further. In fact, some characters are walking spoilers. If you're not ready to be spoiled - DON'T READ. If not, you can read further. I feel the show had some plot twists and turns. Besides, maybe some of the villains in this show weren't as evil as you think.  Emperor Liancheng is an antagonist but dies before the show can end. Liancheng may have some idiotic obsession with Ma Fuya. It becomes even worse when Liancheng's younger sister Liansi and his younger brother Lianxi get involved. Liansi develops a crush on Meng Qiyou and even gets pregnant in the process. It seems that Ma Fuya was pregnant with Liancheng's baby but ends up in Qiyou's household after Liancheng dies. Liancheng dies doing a selfless act to save Ma Fuya. The obsessive empress Ma Xiangyun commits suicide to kill Emperor Liancheng. Emperor Liancheng's quite a
