Okay, I'll try updating every two weeks or every time an arc ends instead of the weekly episode review. Yup, don't expect me to keep going into too many details in these posts unless you request it! This time it's the Kamen Rider Wizard arc which unfortunately -- there's no Haruto in it! I don't know what actor Shuniya Shiraishi is up to, it's safe to assume Sota Fukushi has his whole load of projects though we've had a guest cast in Takasu Nagase resuming his role as Kosuke -- well at least we've had one guest cast! It's just like how certain Gokaiger episodes don't have the main hero showing up!
I was thinking about the cruelty of the Time Jackers and how they take advantage of human suffering. This time, it's a theater that's closing down because of it's lack of audience. Hayase gets frustrated at it and he's got unspoken feelings for Kaori as well. Hour decides to manipulate a stage magician named Hayase into becoming Another Wizard. This causes the sensation who could perform real magic yet it's too good to be true. The Time Jackers are looking for another "suitable candidate" to become their king -- which even makes me wonder will they create Another Shadow Moon for that purpose to challenge Kamen Rider Zi-O? Also, Another Wizard causes Tsukuyomi to land into a coma which can only be undone by defeating Another Wizard! IMHO, I wish they placed her under some hospital equipment -- not just leave her at home! I mean, she needs some sustenance while she's under that coma!
What amazes me is how the flow of time keeps getting altered. So what are the events that originally led to Sougo becoming the dictator of the future 50 years later in said story? Woz talks about how the effects of creating Another Rider causes real damage. As it turns out -- we have Kamen Rider Beast or better yet Kosuke showing up but without his memories. It's already earlier mentioned during the Kamen Rider EX-AID episodes or at least implied that creating Another Riders causes the protagonists to lose their memories. However, this is only discovered by Sougo through Woz.
What I'm actually glad is how they are trying to distribute the Bandai merchandise collectibles as evenly as possible between Zi-O and Geiz. Geiz runs into Kosuke who still has memories blank. He needs the Wizard powers in order to restore Tsukuyomi away from her comatose state. This causes some time traveling especially going back to 2012 which Kamen Rider Wizard first aired on September 2 of that year. The memories of Kosuke are restored leading to them to having a duel. Kosuke then gives away the Wizard watch to Geiz.
This causes a bit of dual battle -- Zi-O battles Another Wizard in the present while Geiz battles Another Wizard in the past. I really love how Sougo tries to prevent himself from becoming Demon King Zi-O when he tells Hayase the true purpose of a Kamen Rider's power. Hmmm I wonder did Hayase even watch the first Kamen Rider or Kamen Rider Black? Considering the generation gap -- he most likely didn't! It has me thinking that the original purpose of the first Kamen Rider was to be a weapon of destruction for Shocker or that Kamen Rider Black could've become a tyrant himself if things went wrong. Geiz defeats Another Wizard in 2012 while Zi-O defeats Another Wizard in 2018. What's so funny is that both past and future selves talk to confess one's feelings to Kaori. How it turned out is somewhat left to audiences to decide.
Next week, it'd be a weird time distortion or what? Tetsuya Iwanaga will resume his role as Kuroto Dan though it seems this version of Kuroto has become a big time villain due to a distortion. Also, both Eiji and Hina are also returning as guest characters. Hmmm I wonder if Haim Saban ahem Cake Boss will make a special guest appearance too? As said, just expect me to give my thoughts every other week and don't expect weekly reviews for Zi-O all the time.
