A Strange Epidemic At The World Of EX-AID

The last two weeks were focused on Kamen Rider Build and it was time to focus on Kamen Rider EX-AID. This week has the first half and I was thinking about how things are. A new Time Jacker named Ora appears and she's acted by Ayaka Konno. I just think about the cruelty of the Time Jackers themselves. While they do oppose the evil future version of Kamen Rider Zi-O known as Demon King Zi-O yet they have their own motives. They have been responsible for the rise of evil version of Kamen Riders in certain periods in Kamen Rider history. This time, Ora uses yet another innocent bystander to carry out their purpose!

I was thinking of the whole funny plot where Tsukuyomi and Geiz now have to blend in and attend high school. I wonder will Gentaro Kisaragi even appear in a future episode thus requiring Sota Fukushi to make a guess appearance? I hope so. Both Tsukuyomi and Geiz are 18 years old (biologically) while they would be chronologically be much younger than the hero Sougo himself. They have to attend high school as not to arouse suspicion though as usual one plot hole seems prevalent in super hero shows. How do you ever explain away that you're some person from a distant future?! But that's not so important now compared to prevent Zi-O from becoming Demon King Zi-O!

As expected -- attending school from 50 years ago is way different! I don't know why didn't writer Kento Shimoyama at least try and pull out the plot idea from Mirai Sentai Timeranger. Remember that plot in Timeranger where details of the past 1,000 years ago were implanted into the head of the heroes? Unfortunately, it's not the very case for Geiz and Tsukuyomi. They must attend school and act like people prior to the rise of Zi-O. This also gives us a glimpse of Souta isn't really standing out either. He gets into trouble for getting into the supply area. Hmmm... I'm starting to imagine Danny Phantom here with scenes where Danny gets into trouble with their principal Mr. Lancer. Just right now -- I even want to imagine that Butch Hartman is a co-producer with head producer Shinichiro Shirakura for this show -- even if such an imagined scenario is just impossible!

So what's the dilemma now? Geiz reveals the very sad reality that seeing Another Rider would mean stealing another Kamen Rider's power! This is pretty much a stretch from Kamen Rider Decade. Decade only met the Alternate Reality Kamen Riders to unlock a certain greater power. The Gokaigers only took the Ranger Keys (because they were a result of the previous 34 teams losing their powers in the Great War) and would later return them to all previous 34 teams as expected. But for this show? I really even wonder if Souta can handle said dilemma. Geiz suggests that Souta must stay out of this. I don't blame Geiz for saying that. After all, he knows how their dystopia happened. But I wonder will Geiz soon say to Souta, "Hey whatever you do -- don't cheat on that achievement test!" to him sooner or later? So why am I having a feeling that Souta may soon be tempted to grab the achievement test results which would lead to a series of unfortunate events that turn an older version of him as an evil overlord like Dark Danny in Danny Phantom?!

A new epidemic starts hitting the the year 2016 -- at least of Zi-O's continuity! Another EX-AID is causing trouble. There's also some nice cameos with Hiiro Kagami getting the attention of everyone as the legendary doctor. This new epidemic is hitting like crazy. I like a bit of how they did a cheat code reference -- way back when cheat codes were still cool before the more satisfying achievement-oriented gameplay took over. The heroes soon discover one thing -- the Another Riders are merely innocent bystanders turned into monsters. So seriously, didn't Zi-O at least figure it out an episode earlier? I guess he was to distracted to notice Another Build turning reverting back to human form! But this time he knows the truth! If I were Souta the more I would really not want to stay out of it and be determined to avoid my fate of becoming Demon King Zi-O!

Emu appears at the end and confronts them. I really can't wait to see next week's epic battle!

  1. A friendly correction...Zi-O's name is Sougo, not souta. I believe you may have accidentally jumbled the name...
While the first arc is okay, I did not like how it ended, such as Sento regressing back into Takumi Katsuragi. Moreover, despite Sougo and Geiz going to 2017, there are some inconsistencies such as some support characters missing (Sawa, Misora and her dad).
In the world of Ex-Aid, only Emu and Hiiro showed up (Poppy, Taiga and Kiriya are not shown even in the next episode preview).
Given that this series once again uses the 2-part format, which is somewhat condensed, I'll wait and see how this series goes before deciding to keep watching or stop altogether.

    1. Hi! Thanks for dropping by! Okay changed it! Anyway, I am somewhat liking the series so far even if Shirakura and Shimoyama are somewhat hit or miss when it comes to progress. =P

"Light The Night's" Finale (Spoilers Ahead)

SpikyTV I guess the series just kept us guessing, right? I finally got the chance to finish it after some busy nights. I was right that the killer was HANA (Esther Liu) BUT there's a twist - it was more of voluntary manslaughter than murder. Manslaughter is when one kills out of the heat of passion and that's what Hana did twice in the story. Hana had one against a client who used her and another against Sue after some unfortunate insanity attack. Hana ends up planning to hand herself over but her lover commits murder (towards a character named Chiang An) to protect her.  The whole psychological thriller for me just didn't match up to what I wanted. I guess I was too used to how Victim's Game rolled out. I was expecting some real murder scheme. Instead, it was the anti-climatic manslaughter where Hana decides to hand herself to the authorities after what she did. I really still think that the finale wasn't worth too much of the wait. I was expecting something gran

I Just Finished "My Golden Life"

I finally finished My Golden Life which I was hesitant to watch. 52 one-hour long episodes? I was thinking it was easier to watch the Wuxia series that had 40+ minutes per episode such as Princess Weiyang which was quite long. A lot of episodes of My Golden Life would have a few minutes more depending on the coverage of the episode. So, I'm done and I never thought I'd actually finish it since I'm way too used to short K-Dramas. This one was rather long but it was rather entertaining in many ways. I was thinking about how Shin Hye Sun actually did well with on-screen partner Park Si Hoo. Sometimes, I'd like to joke about how they had a chemistry that looked good and felt good. Looked good? Both aren't attractive and I often joke how Hye Sun's face feels melted or how she was rightfully matched with Lee Jong Suk in Hymn of Death . Hye Sun isn't pretty but she really makes up with her good acting and likability. The same goes for Si Hoo with how he acts out hi

Just Finished "My Glamorous Imperial Concubine" (Some Spoilers)

This is another Wuxia series finished. I was having some expectations broken. The show can be full of spoilers when discussed even further. In fact, some characters are walking spoilers. If you're not ready to be spoiled - DON'T READ. If not, you can read further. I feel the show had some plot twists and turns. Besides, maybe some of the villains in this show weren't as evil as you think.  Emperor Liancheng is an antagonist but dies before the show can end. Liancheng may have some idiotic obsession with Ma Fuya. It becomes even worse when Liancheng's younger sister Liansi and his younger brother Lianxi get involved. Liansi develops a crush on Meng Qiyou and even gets pregnant in the process. It seems that Ma Fuya was pregnant with Liancheng's baby but ends up in Qiyou's household after Liancheng dies. Liancheng dies doing a selfless act to save Ma Fuya. The obsessive empress Ma Xiangyun commits suicide to kill Emperor Liancheng. Emperor Liancheng's quite a
