The Long Awaited Wedding Day Of Yong Jun And Mi So

Predictable or not? Not every good ending K-Drama ends with a wedding. Some get married in the middle, they nearly decide to split but they kiss and make up at the end of the series. In the case of What's Wrong With Secretary Kim -- I guess the wedding was necessary if it was to fulfill the plot involving the childhood plot between Yong Jun and Mi So. Mi So discovers that the very child she asked to marry her was none other than Yong Jun and it seems logical to wrap it up the way it should be wrapped up.

The whole wedding preparation had its own share of comedies as some couples do realize their feelings. Yoo Sik finally reconciles with his ex-wife. Ji-Ah tries to snap Chang Sul from his extremely frugal lifestyle and they become a couple during the wedding day. Also, Se Ra and Yong Chul finally admit their relationship before the wedding day. I guess it's a nice way to get everyone's feelings out, right? Though why aren't we getting pre-nuptial picks for the two?

Yong Jun's parents tend to be overly generous with Yong Jun's would-be in laws. Mi So shows she's not greedy of gain when she rejects the fine offerings. She climbed up the top of the ladder without manipulating anyone. She went from a poor girl to a bride-worthy professional during those nine years. The sibling rivalry is over and Seong Yun accepted his loss some time ago off-screen. It was really showing that being overly generous can be a bad thing too. Fortunately, Yong Jun's parents see through it and let the flow go as it should be.

The final scene has the wedding ceremony in a restaurant. Maybe, my nitpicking is that why wasn't it done in a church or something? Church weddings are far more romantic IMHO compared to civil ceremonies. Ji-Ran tries to ruin the wedding then gets instant karma when her dress is ruined. The reception has them making their final kiss. Yoo Sik announces the arrival of the newly weds into the reception hall where they kiss in front of their guests. I just love how the flashbacks make it back to how a childhood promise is fulfilled in this final episode.
