I was thinking about how this Manhwa turned live adaptation (and note that Manhwa is actually inspired by the Japanese invention called Manga) is going to the cliche of childhood romances. Yup, a good portion of episode 11 is focused on the serious stuff. We saw Mi Soo faint in episode 10 when she was reconnecting her childhood -- she could suddenly remember the face of the kidnapper who apparently committed suicide. Was it because the model had a similar appearance? You decide?
At the same time, the sibling rivalry moves to a whole new level. Seong Yun discovers that he wasn't the one kidnapped. He suddenly remembers the past -- which may have been the reason why the sibling rivalry started. He confronts their mother about the hidden memories. I really couldn't help but feel sorry for him too. Not only is he in a love triangle with his brother but there's also some unresolved trauma going on!
Now we're done with the serious stuff and it's back to the lighthearted stuff. I always feel like Mi Soo can over-stress herself out. Is it me or do some people want to believe that they're invincible and could care less about their bodies? Yong Jun is such a brilliant guy -- he makes everyone go to the spa just so Mi Soo could get some rest. This was part of his plan to get the spa evaluated. Maybe, he hasn't given them much day offs either due to his plans. While he can be a narcissist but it's all but a shield from his past. He's a good boss so what's there to lose for Mi So to eventually become his wife, right?
Meanwhile, a bit of the nerdy Yoo Sik's past resurfaces. He sees his ex-wife with who he believes is her boyfriend. Apparently, that other man is her cousin or is it? I just feel the whole comedy scene where he drank an appetite suppressant to be THAT FUNNY. What makes me think of the "adding balance" scene was meeting his ex-wife whom he used to take to that steak restaurant. I wonder, is it too late for the two of them to be back together? Two more weeks and I hope things get wrapped up for this poor, hapless fellow!
Later, memories start to fade when the amusement park in Yumyung turns out to be the same place where the kidnapping took place. Before that, Yong Jun buys Mi Soo's childhood present which triggers the event in the amusement park. Think about it that what used to be bad memories can be buried. I'm now wondering how will this series wrap up? Can't wait for tomorrow's episodes as well as the final two weeks to finish the last five remaining episodes!
