Well here's the latest Zi-O scan update thanks to
JEFusion. So far, so good and I think this is a twist of events. Do you remember how Kamen Rider Decade gained both the appearance and abilities of past Kamen Riders? However, a new twist has arrived to where Kamen Rider Zi-O's latest ability will allow him to create hybrid versions of each suits.
What do I think of this new concept? It could be a newer (and hopefully) better gimmick to sell more of them Bandai merchandise. At first, I was nervous at the idea of trying to redo Decade with Zi-O copying the appearance and powers of past Kamen Riders. Instead, we're probably getting a breath of fresh air with this new concept. Hmmm... I can't wait to see this show in action. On the other hand, I still have a whole month of August to see the last four episodes of Kamen Rider Build.
What do you think of this latest update?
Just read this post, and I hope that it does not rehash, if not repeat, what they did with Decade.
ReplyDeleteUpon first seeing the head shot of Kamen Rider Zi-O, the first thing that entered my head was Wizard (their resemblance were pretty close), but thankfully the antannae ornament returned.
On the subject, you posted about the upcoming rider's power about the 24-hour thing it made me wonder, does this mean that he would be encountering the past riders (heisei and showa)?
This would be a difficult topic to pry as this raises the question: will the past riders be the original ones? Or the ar ones? I would have to say that chances are the past riders who may appear on Zi-O may be ar ones since there's no guarantee that the original actors might appear to reprise their roles.
of the past heisei riders only 4 were not reprised by their original actors (Job Odagiri, Takamasa Sugar, shogeki Hosokawa and Hiro Mizushima). If and should Toei managed to convince the four actors to reprise their roles and appear on the Zi-O series, then the show would attract the target audience.
Going back to this post, so far the pics you shown somewhat made me feel odd. After seeing them, it sort of reminded me of Kamen Rider 15, wherein he has several forms using his personal lockseed, as well as reminding about the movie war, Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle, where the 4 riders assumed the form of the first 4 riders of the neo-heisei series.
WI'll wait and see for more info about Zi-O. Hopefully it would feature more riders , since I prefer multiple riders as opposed to only 2 riders.
