I Feel Kamen Rider EX-AID's Getting More EX-Citing

It's no joke that Kamen Rider EX-AID gets me EX-cited (pun intended). I started the first four episodes and it's pretty standard with all the necessary introduction and, "Buy our toys." At the same time, there's this mysterious black version of EX-AID known as Gemn who's aligned with the Bugsters. The show introduced newer concepts with Kamen Rider such as combining video game skills with saving patients while the show's theme is to save patients without using continues. Because in real life, there are NO continues.

The show addresses the medical field. It presents the moral dilemma from cop shows and medical shows. The latest episode features Hoji Emu's being too soft while his rival doctor Hiryu Kagami/Kamen Rider Brave is too focused on getting the job done. I feel that both Hoji and Kiryu are meant to display different principles to why people are in the medical field. Hoji has a lot to learn on what it means to balance one's life as a doctor. Other Kamen Riders enter into the battle each with their own motives. Taiga Hanaya/Kamen Rider Snipe is more interested in getting the other Gashats while Kiriya Kujo/Kamen Rider Lazer is a medical examiner who wants to examine the Bugsters. I'm seeing a lot of soap opera boxes here!

There's the high possiblity that we might get another Black Sun vs. Shadow Moon type of rivalry. Shadow Moon was just the start of the concept. Back then, producers and writers didn't have much of an idea on how to carry it out. But like everything new innovation introduces it's subject to change and improvement depending on who's in charge. We've had some evil Kamen Riders in Kamen Rider Ryuki like Takeshi Asakura/Kamen Rider Ouja is pretty much Sword Saint Bilgenia with the King Stone. Kamen Rider Gemn may be another improved Shadow Moon or not.

I dunno if it's a good idea to reveal that Kuroto Dan the supposedly nice and humble doctor is actually twisted, psychotic narcissist. I sort of like having villains like this since it keeps the show on suspense. I don't think anybody but the audience or some people are aware that Kuroto is Gemn. He's the CEO of Gemn Corp so what's his real agenda? Why is he aligned with the Bugsters? The actor Tetsuya Iwanaga himself knows how to play both faces. It's not yet established if he's just got a split personality or he's a backstabbing no good villain. I'd wish the show will present him as the latter which he may soon present the evil of humanity's heart.

As of late, I can only say that I think Kamen Rider EX-AID may be better than Zyuohger. What are your thoughts?
